Leaving Articulate 360? Take your Rise courses with you.

What happens when you cancel

According to Articulate’s own guide:

• You lose access to Rise 360 and can’t create, edit or publish courses anymore.
• Content Articulate hosts for you is deleted six months after your subscription ends.
• They suggest exporting the courses you want to keep, as Web or LMS packages, before you cancel.

Before you cancel

1. In Rise, open a course you want to keep.
2. Click Publish, then choose Web. Rise gives you a file to download.
3. Save that file somewhere safe, with a name you’ll recognize later. Repeat for each course.
4. Drop each file into BuddySlides and save the deck it makes.

Keep the Rise files too. They still work in BuddySlides later, in any look, and for every language the course has.

Already cancelled?

You may still have the file you need. BuddySlides reads both kinds of Rise export, so look for:

• Your learning platform. If the course was uploaded to an LMS, many platforms let an administrator download the package again.
• Old downloads and backups. A Rise export is a .zip file, often named after the course.
• Colleagues or clients you once sent the course to.

Packages made with other tools, such as Storyline, aren’t Rise courses and won’t convert.

What you get

• A designed slide for each part of every lesson, with real text you can edit.
• Pictures, galleries and videos, and tables and charts that stay editable.
• Quiz questions with the right answers marked, and narration in the speaker notes.
• Click-to-reveal parts like tabs, accordions and flashcards, laid out so everything shows at once.

What only works by clicking in a browser can’t come across: nothing scores the quizzes, and scenario choices can’t lead anywhere. BuddySlides lists anything it couldn’t bring across.
