These terms cover your use of BuddySlides, a tool made by ixCreations (“we”, “us”) that turns Articulate Rise course exports into PowerPoint decks. By using BuddySlides you agree to them.

Beta

BuddySlides is in beta. It's free to use while the beta runs, and it may still have rough edges: features, limits and what's free or paid may change before and after launch. We'll say so on this site before anything you've been using stops being free. Please check each deck, and tell us when something looks wrong.

Using BuddySlides

You may use BuddySlides to convert courses for yourself or your organization. Please don’t try to disrupt the service or get around any usage limits or feature locks.

The software

BuddySlides runs in your browser, so its converter is delivered to your computer. It still belongs to ixCreations: we give you permission to use it, not ownership of it. You may not copy, extract, decompile, disassemble or reverse-engineer the converter or any part of the page’s code; share, resell or redistribute it; or use it to build or run a competing product or service. The only exception is where the law gives you a right to do something that can’t be limited by agreement.

Your content

Your courses and the decks you create remain yours. Because conversion happens in your own browser, we never receive them. You’re responsible for making sure you have the right to use and convert the courses you choose, including any images, video and text inside them.

What you need

BuddySlides runs in current versions of Chrome, Edge and Firefox (version 112 or newer) and Safari (16.4 or newer) on a computer. Phones and tablets may run out of memory on large courses.

Check your deck

BuddySlides recreates your course as closely as it can, but some interactive elements can’t exist in a static deck, and the result may differ from the original. Please review each deck before you share or present it.

No warranty

BuddySlides is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, ixCreations isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of BuddySlides.

Trademarks

BuddySlides is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Articulate Global, LLC or Microsoft Corporation. Articulate and Rise are trademarks of Articulate Global, LLC. PowerPoint is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. These names are used only to describe what BuddySlides works with.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about them or about BuddySlides will be handled by the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it somewhere else.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page; continuing to use BuddySlides means you accept the updated terms.
